Hagstrom Ultra Swede - P-Rails

Hey guys!

I'm thinking about a set of Seymour Duncan P-Rails for my Hagstrom Ultra Swede. Although the stock pickups sound great and are splitable I'm thinking about getting that raunchy P90 sound because I'm playing that guitar mostly in my bluesrock band.

I love the sound of Mike Ness (solo and also with Social Distortion), Leslie West with Mountain and also a lot of rockabilly stuff. I was thinking about some TV Jones or P-rails, I'm leaning towards the rails.

The guitar has an basswood body with a maple cap and a maple neck with the Hagstrom compound fingerboard.

What do you think (also about TV Jones)?

BTW: What do you think suits the guitar better, black or cream pickups?




Maybe somebody can photoshop some cream pickups into it, that would be great.

I don't know about the t.v. jones but I like the P-rails. I've got them in a mahogany maple guitar and they sound great. The single coil sounds aren't the best but and useable. The other two are far better. Very versatile pups that cover alot of ground.
