Half hex JB

I've only done it with a 59 and a Custom 5, not a JB. Based on the other experiences, I imagine it would take the spike out of it, though.

I liked the effects of swapping pole screws. My favorite ended up being double filister for bridge and 1 row of filister and 1 row of hex for neck. Hexs add more bite, click, and attack, so if that's what you think you'd want then give it a try.

I have one with the flatheads replaced with hexes. Did it for cosmetic reason only. No perceivable change in sound to me

I did it with a Pegasus and it tightened up the low end and gave a bit of articulation and edge. I think what really matters about it is the length. The hexes I got are short ones that are almost flush with the baseplate.
