Thanks for the compliments. As you can probably tell, it's impossible for me to be any happier with ScottF's gift to me. I did pay his full asking price for it, but I still think of it as a gift. There's no way I could ever afford anything this nice without his generous pricing. What I have is worth far more than what I paid for it. That equals a gift in my book.
He should charge much more for what he's selling. That's a fact.

Me, too. If I want an amp that compliments my bookcase, I'd go for the cherry cab but if it's something I'm going to schlep around town, I'll take the tolex. For some reason, I suspect I'd be more uptight about dings in my amp than dings in my guitars. :?:Scott_F said:

I love that cherry cabinet, and the way the knobs compliment it. It'd look great with a matching cab.
As for taking it out of the house, it may be a good idea to buy an alternate headshell, in case you want to gig often. You could basically sell off some old pedal and use the money for a tolex shell. Since I love using my amp, I grabbed an extra headshell on Ebay, so now I have the option of keeping it in museum condition, but can use it all I want with my canefront headshell.
Tuki padded covers have made the whole issue a non-issue though....they really work....and don't add the weight of a roadcase.
