Harmony h77/tg-46 pickups

so, im in the designing stage of a new build, in the style of a harmony h77 or tg-46 dan auerbachs favourite guitar, the body made out of a solid piece of maple routed completely out save for the material for the neck pocket (since i dont have the experience or equipment to build a true hollowbody) mahogany neck, and i want to use surface mount pickups, looking for a nice clear tone but that can sound really mean, get some real grit to it when needed, something that takes fuzz and OD well. I was strongly considering gfs nyii's heard a lot of great reviews on them, and nothing tops a single coil, but im not quite sure what to use if i go the three pickup route... the bridge model and 2 neck models? the middle neck pickup reversed? what do you guys think? or if there is any other good surface mount pickups you could suggest, im sort of new to the concept. also, do you know where to get 2 way toggle switches? Thanks guys!
