Has anyone else had a chance to try Gabriel Amps yet?

What did you think of the amp?

Had a chance to see this amp over the Thanksgiving weekend up in Chicago.

It is an excellent sounding amp that is a cross between an early Marshall and a Vox. It doesn’t try to be a clone of either amp, but takes the best of both worlds. Yes, it is a well-built and good sounding amp. It comes as a head and cabinet or a combo.

- Here are the Amp’s vital stats

Cathode biased 18w Class AB amplifier (2x EL84), push-pull
EF86 pentode AC15-ish channel (BRIGHT)
12AX7 triode British crunch channel (NORMAL)
EZ81 rectifier
CONTOUR six-position tone control
Dual speaker output (parallel)
4, 8 and 16 ohm speaker selector
120/220/240 VAC voltage selector
24"W x 7-1/2"H x 8"D dims
25 lbs weight

The web site has some good sound bites.
