Has anyone noticed...

Or am I the only one? Something about guitars and how they respond better or worse to a certain note? I feel like one guitar just kills it with Gs but another one I have responds better to Bs! Am I the victim of a placebo effect here?

Re: Has anyone noticed...

Sometimes certain frequencies will resonate or feedback with in a certain guitar. Sometimes its your fret work doing it. Sometimes is the tremelo springs in the back resonating to a certain frequency that do it.

Re: Has anyone noticed...

It's part of a guitars character so to speak. Just like with dead spots. For my guitar the note C can get very boomy and loud any place on the finger board. People have tried to get around this by using different materials such as Carbon fiber/Graphite for necks. Or installing graphite rods in the neck.

Re: Has anyone noticed...

Not just you - that's real. Find that note, if it exists, and set up a solo to really make a statement on that note!

Re: Has anyone noticed...

I tend to notice it way more with completely hollow guitars. Casino, Hofner bass, Rickenbackers, Gretsch.
