Have a luke III ebony fretboard and stainless frets pickup recomendation

I have one of the June Luke III BFR shadow gold. Its a mahogany body roasted maple neck with ebony fretboard and stainless frets. There is a harshness to the sound. Have a bfr HH Luke III and love rhe pickups in that one so feel its the difference in woods. I have found if I turn the tone knob down a little to halfway it sounds pretty good.

So just wondering if someone has ever had asimilar problem with ebony and stainless frets? And what worked for them.

Any suggestions? Maybe a new pickup or 250k tone pot?

I have ebony and stainless on my Warmoth, and my Fender has a 1 piece maple neck with vintage frets. I don't notice the Warmoth being brighter, though. Does that Luke have active pickups?

No it has the dimarzio transition bridge and two custom stacked single coils but they run through a preamp of some sort for boost function and has trim pots to make 2 and 4 positions be same volume as 1,3,and 5.

Was just playing it with wah pedal and it cuts something just enough it sounds great. Have been running it straight into a mesa mark V 90.

I will say the blueburst one is my favourite and the emg loaded one is awesome with volume just slightly turned down but nice boost when I turn it all the way! Guess I just need more time with the newest one.
