Re: Have - ES335, Les Paul, Strat HSH, Tele - Advice please on guitar to add

SSS Strat
Firebird/V/Explorer
Hollow Body (not semi)

Any acoustics? :D

SG would seem to be the next logical choice.

Yeah, I forgot about SGs. One with P90s would make a really interesting addition.

Re: Have - ES335, Les Paul, Strat HSH, Tele - Advice please on guitar to add

Have had a number of SSS Strats, I'm just can't seem to find a nice full tone in the SSS configuration.
A flying V sounds interesting I will give it a look see.
I've been looking at SGs and it seems to me that Gibson has them way over priced, you can buy a Les Paul for less than an SG and that makes no sense at all considering what's involved in building a Les Paul body vs an SG. So I took a look at Epiphone and the SG G400 looks like a well made guitar I'd just have to by some P90s, a pickguard and do a little route.
Thanks gang, I really appreciate the guidance.

Gibson SG Secial Faded can usually be found for a good price, they've made a lot of them and they don't cost a lot to begin with (for a Gibson at least). I got mine for less than $500 after sales tax, used but mint condition. If you want P-90's they did make them off and on over the years, but since they didn't make as many the seem to hold their value a bit better at around $700-800. There is also one of the Tribute model (60's I think) that has P -90s, and the newer Special that has mini-humbuckers, with the cut out P90 pickup mounting rings, making converting them really easy.

Yeah dude, just shop around and you should be able to pick up a P-90 Gibson for under $500. I got my Double Cut L.P. Special slightly used but in perfect condition & with the O.H.S.C. for $525 shipped!!! I'm pretty positive that I saw a 2014 SGJ for $450 shipped the other day, something like that would be great & you can always spruce it up later on. I mean unless you're budget is less than the $450-$550 range, then a Epi. 400 & some upgraded puppies might be in order???

You just have to cruise Reverb, make low but semi-reasonable offers, & don't rush. Eventually you'll find someone who's looking for a quick sale or hard up for cash and they'll accept! Just be sure to ask a lot of questions and cover your butt! This way if the seller tells you that the neck is perfectly straight & it shows up twisted and warped you can get a refund even if he/she doesn't normally accept them because it was delivered "not as described"!!!

Going back to the origionals question though, I'd say you need as mentioned, a hollow body like a Gretsch or an Epiphone Casino. Or, a Jazzmaster or Jaguar

A duplicate of everything you have but with hotter pickups and gaudier colors. More is more.
