Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

Yes - and have heard quite a few. Wouldn't mind having a couple myself.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

I'd love to try a few, but I've got so many pedals now I just couldn't justify another one...even at those great prices.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

I think I've got three now; a Shimverb, an Eleclady and a Triangle Buff fuzz. All do a more than competent job at a good price.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

HAhahahaha . . . i can already see someone over at HC Forums making a complete pedal board with just these little boxes.

Still, i would love to try some too.
Aswell as the brand new MOOG pedals and some of the triangular Modtone min pedals and . . .

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

I have the Reecho, and the Flexboost.

For the money, they are good sounding pedals. The footprint is too small though for me. Constantly goofing up knob settings (tried tape, works for a bit then comes off),also I do not really expect the switches to last long if you are like me, and stomp your stompboxes. I much prefer a BOSS type pedal in that regard.

But the MOOERs are good bang for the buck no doubt.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

Have the Reecho and Chorus. I got them for the size. They perform 'okay', but are dang convenient.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

I was sitting here trying to figure out why I had not seen these yet. Then, I thought to myself, " I haven't used an FX pedal in over a year and a half."

Guess I'm just out of the loop, with pedals.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

Karpathion, if you are just feeling the need to goof around with a few pedals in your rig again and you do not want to spend alot of money, jump in.

I do not use my flexboost anymore because it doesnt do what I need it to with my new(ish) amp. The Reecho I use constantly, but if money had not been an issue, I most certainly would have gone some other route for a tape echo sim (space echo, any number of booteeks, etc)...the Reecho most definitely sounds digital and lacks warmth.

IOW, do not expect amazing tones out of the Mooer stuff..expect decent sounds at a reasonable price.

That's what I was looking for.

I've just been looking at picking up the essentials again. A chorus, delay, reverb, OD, and some kind of noise maker. I know I won't use them much, but they are fun to have sometimes.

I have been fantasizing about a "mini" board with all Mooer, Guyatone Mini, Danelectro Mini, and Modtone Mini's.....

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

That seems to be the common reply to these pedals. What's wrong with them?
The ones I have are not stellar examples of the species; they are not BAD, just not GREAT. For the price of investment, I was able to dip my toes into the chorus effect pool, and it's made me more interested in trying other chorus pedals...

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

The thing they have going for them is their A-sized boxes, but I can only assume everything inside is SMD and assembly line baked. There's no room for nice thru-hole mojo parts. They should realistically knock about $20 off every pedal price. They are paying substantially less per unit of an SMD, a-boxed screamer clone than a thru-hole, B-boxed version with all repop silicon.
Long story short, their making higher quality Behringer pedals and asking boutique prices.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

I got a Mooer Pure Boost, clone of an Xotic RC Boost. Sounds really nice, and I can even get a good volume boost with my AC30 set to clean without it breaking up.

Don't forget about the Malekko Omicron pedals:

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

I have a Ninety Orange on my small board. It's pretty much indistinguishable from an MXR.

Re: Have you guys seen all of these Mooer peadals?!

The previous distributor of these in NZ gave me a whole bunch!

They're pretty cool! Obviously as with most clone pedals, the component values differ from the real thing, but the tones are maybe on the level of 80% there, at 50% of the price or whatever.

I stuck these on a PT Mini board and gigged them live for about 6 months without any issues:

I did a bunch of clips for anyone who wants a tonal reference point.

Phase 90 and Electric Mistress clone clips live in here: http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2013/...ty-orange-phaser-and-eleclady-flanger-review/

Pitch Box clips are here: http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2013/04/05/mooer-pitch-box-pitches-be-crazy/

I'm currently in the process of doing an A/B between the Hustle Drive and an actual Fulltone OCD.

The Shimverb is with a friend who wanted to start writing for the site, but the useless bastard has been... well, useless about it
