Have you videos on YouTube?

Hi

I am constructing a pretty hefty site - bluesplayer.co.uk. On there is a new section called 'Music Budding'. There is also a growing section called 'Music Pro'. All musicians/bands listed are automatically entered into the installed - and pretty unique - YouTube database search bar. A little information is listed about yourself or your band and then a visitor can easily visit your homepage or just view some of your YouTube videos. No need for membership or anything like that. All that is required is that you have videos on YouTube and are a genuine musician. Simply put some details here or pm me and I will do the rest. The site is growing as I add more content and website crawlers are all over it. Just do a search for some pro artist on my site in google and you might find that my site is higher up the list than even YouTube! Some nice added extra exposure for you. I have only just activated the new section and just one band has been added to kick it off - Bulldog Brown. You can see the new Bluesplayer Budding Musicians section here:

Click on either ' YouTube Music Videos' on the first page or 'Select Category&Artist' on the Artist Description page to see the YouTube video selector. Select the correct category - Blues Bands for now - and then Bulldog Brown to see how it works.

Visit the Pro section to see how it will look after I fill it up with lots of artists/bands.

Seems like a cool idea.

Shame I don't have any music videos :) Maybe one day.

Well it isn't really hard to make videos of a suitable quality these days. I use a cheap webcam and a busted headphone mic. It is the software I use that is the key really. I will put an elaborate posting on my forum shortly about the types of software I use and where to get them from etc. As for YouTube anyone can join and have their videos listed. No space limit either on how much YouTube space you use up but there is a 100 Mb file size limitation. That won't concern a musician normally as you are looking at close to 10 minutes running time.

Re: Have you videos on YouTube?

How does one qualify for being a "genuine musician"?

Listening to some of your playing now - you definitely qualify :).

Just looked at your homepage. I need a bit more info for the Artist Description page. You want to write something or have you something I can use on a webpage?

Ah wait - Myspace - lots of info there. You will be listed in just a few minutes.

I have put you in 3 - Blues/Jazz/Rock Guitarists - but I think maybe a new section needs to be created for your style of playing - any ideas?

I got one 'All Genre Guitarists'
