Okay, I have a Tascam DP-01 digital recorder, an Alesis Nanoverb effects unit and a DOD SR 431 rackmount 31 band EQ that has a balanced input and output. Up until tonight I've only been using the Tascam and the Nanoverb.
If I connect JUST the Nanoverb thru the Tascams "Send" and "Return" jacks there's no problem. (One cord from the Send of the Tascam going into one of the inputs in the Alesis. Two lines (L&R) going from the Alesis outputs going into the Tascams L&R Return jacks.)
If I connect JUST the DOD in the same manner there's no problem. But trying to hook the DOD and the Nanoverb together isn't working too well.
Basically I want to be able to use the DOD to tailor the sound of an entire song after it's recorded.
I've tried every possible combination imaginable and the bottom line is that it's not working.
I also tried this: I had cord's coming out of the Tascams main output's, going into the DOD's input, then had cords coming from the DOD's output to the amps inputs and this only had an effect on the right channel of the amp. Since the DOD's input and outputs are balanced I did use the appropriate cords. (1/4" stereo jack on one end splitting into two 1/4" mono jacks).
Okay, what have I got wrong?
