HB Pickups????

Hi there! Hope you guys can help me decide what PU to buy. Problem is Im not satisfied w/ the Pickups.

Here's my gear:
My guitar is a Washburn P2 (Les Paul-ish type) Mahogany w/ Maple top.
Amp: Peavey Bandit 112 80watts.

Sound:
I want that Zakk Wylde Crunch, like in Black Label Society. How can I achieve that tone.
Im into that dark low end punch, but would still give me enough high for pinch harmonics in the strings at lower frets, thats what Im into. squeal like a pig!

My fear is that I would end up w/ a PU that can give those squeals but too thin sounding for riffs & chords.

His sound is very influenced by his amps, but maybe you would have better luck with a Custom Custom. That pickup has a lot of mid presence and it really screams out the upper notes when you solo.

With the Bandit, I definitely suggest something that pronounces midrange well, but is not too bassy. Another choice would be the Pearly Gates.

Custom would work there as well. Heck, get a CC, buy an Alnico V mag and a ceramic mag, and swap the mags inand out of the CC, that way you can try all 3 flavors of this lineup.

I like Stevo's suggestion of getting the Custom Custom. It would provide enough mids for soloing and for crunch. Then you just need a good amp with nice bottom end.

Have you heard of Shadows FAll? I also like their rhythm tone! Its brutal, and it really CRUSHES!!
Can I also achieve their tone with the PUs you mentioned?
