HBD Billy Cox (Band Of Gypsys, Charlie Daniels Band)

ginormous

Understatmentologist
One of the two bassists Jimi played with in his solo career; Band of Gypsys (with Buddy Miles) was created to fulfill an obligation,
from an unscrupulous music producer's contract that Jimi signed early on.
This takes nothing away from the talent of that band, or this stalwart musician.
Born October 18, 1941, Wheeling, West Virginia USA.

Are you sure he didn't escape from Charlie Daniels Band? :chairfall

Billy Cox played this tune on the Deep End CD after Allen Woody passed away. The DVD of Billy playing this song was very cool

side note.. its cool to see Eric Gales back in action. I remember when he first hit the scene and was the hot gun. Another substance casualty.

You've obviously not listened to very much CDB music. There is some killer bass in songs such as "In America", "Legend Of Wooly Swamp", "The South's Gonna Do It Again", etc. etc.

I'll agree with you, and have much respect for all the above.

I couldn't help but make a joke about Charlie Daniel's southern plantation owner look, and Civil War hat etc! I'm stupid like that though! hahahaha
