Heaven Unearthed (A higher place than Heaven)

I have dwelt in a state of heavenly bliss for quite a while.
The reason for my paradise like state is a 1998 model Gibson ES-335 equipped with a Gibson 57 classic neck and 57 classic plus bridge.
I use the neck pup a heck of a lot.
I also have an Epiphone 2004 model Dot (with all the usual mods.) which I use to evaluate different pickups. I had been through many pups including some SD pups until I came across a little slice of Heaven called a Gibson 57 classic.
All has been well here in Heaven with the 57 until last night !
Last night I discovered a place higher than Heaven in the form of an English hand wound neck pup called a "Bare Knuckle - Stormy Monday"
This pup was installed in a Gibson ES-175 and although this guitar is quite different to a 335, when I played it I instantly new that there was a place higher than Heaven.
I offered the owner any bottle of wine from my collection to let me try it in my 335 but to no avail. (when all else fails there's always bribery and corruption.)
I am in the process of contacting Bare Knuckle ( unfortunate name ) to get some specs. All I currently know is that the resistance is 7.1 k and that life here in Heaven ain't what it used to be.
Is anyone currently using this pup or have any experience with it ?

Ah, grasshopper, there are many planes of tone conciousness higher than those afforded by Gibson pickups. You still cling to Samsara while imagining you have transcended.

There are no planes of tone conciousness, nor is there Samsara.
There is nothing to cling to.

May the lotus blossom of infinite wisdom give birth to a Bare knuckle - Stormy Monday pup and a suitable bottle of vintage La Chateau de Rothschild.

Heaven is what you make of it. You obviously haven't tried either the Seth Lover set or the Antiquities set... then you can talk about Heaven and Hell. And those are STOCK p'ups!

If you wanna know what Heaven REALLY is, get the dough and order ANY SD p'up Custom made handwound. Then you can say "I've heard the Angels sing". All of this for even less than any English stock p'up.

Hey I didn't know you spoke English, Italian AND Hare Krishna !

I haven't tried the Antiquities but I still have amongst my collection of SD's a Seth sitting around somewhere. - Can you say MIDRANGE ! ( subtle it ain't,......wanna' hear some Carlos Santana, Amigo ?)

Anyway I haven't tried a Mini humbucker which I am also giving serious consideration to .
So at the moment it's a decision between the Bareknuckle pup and a MiniH.
I am really tempted to ask Zhang to make one. The SD Mini H's use A5's to which I am allergic ( I don't have a doctors certificate to prove it but one look at my face and you'll know it's true. ) so rather than go the SD custom route , I am inclined to go with Zhang and his recommendation.

You mentioned hearing the Angels sing, well here in the North end of Heaven we put a ban on Angels singing. The rationale being;
"who would want to hear Angels sing when you can listen to and play along with SRV, Albert Collins, Freddy King, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Jim Morrison" etc.

Mini Hbs are NOT what you want, Siddharta... been there, done that, hated'em and moved on.

I am really tempted to ask Zhang to make one.

I haven't tried any of his p'ups, but word of mouth is excellent, to say the least.

If you learn the fine art of p'up degaussing, Alnico5 is all you'll ever need. To prove it, I have four electric guitars, ALL with Alnico5. The secret of that singing sound is in the speakers... I use Eminence Cannabis Rex 12" and I can play any kind of music with'em, from crystal clear with my Strat to Santana with my ES-335 copy. And the midrange control in my amp is at 2 o'clock.

Gee Thanks for that info Pepe or Kojak, .....Kojak ?, I'll defintely look into everything you said. I particularly liked the bit about the "singing sound is in the speaker", I'll ditch my useless Celestion Greenbacks immediately if not sooner in search of " the singing sound in the speaker "
