Well here it goes....the jackson has alder body neck through and hot rails and a jb in the bridge...the Ibanez has these new dimarzio/ibz pup's that acctually sound great...oh and basswood body. He's my dilema I love the alder sound and the jb is great but I love those Ibanez wizards necks..the're easier to play and SUPER fast....yeah I know the neck through has better sustain but then again the jackson FR isn't very good comparing to the new edge pro. Confused yet???
Well what I would like is some pointers from people that have both guitars or at least one of them.....what do you think ???? pro's and cons????
THX A LOT
PS: Now I know why recording artists have guitars custom made so they can put together all the good things they find from different guitars of dif makes!

I have a Jackson SL-4 and I am assuming it probally has the same neck as the SL-3. The neck is CRAZY fast!!! I like it alot more than the Ibanez neck though they are sort of simillar. I would go for the Jackson!!!!!

I would take a Soloist neck just about before anything, w/ no exception to the Wizard neck. Grab the Jackson...don't look back.

I would rather get a used sl2 or sl1 for about the same money, but out of this two, the jackson!

umm.. i hope you dont mean one of the 'new' powdered edge2, or edge 2 pro's, because if you do, i'm going to impale you with your wizard neck! but if you compare the older edges with the jackson licenced tremolo and saying the edge or jacky floyd is better, you'er talking out of your ass cos they're made in the same factory

jack, son, JACK! because, in a time you'll feel that the wizard neck drains your tone, you will grow not to like it and then you'll be stuck with it. while the jacskons have the best natural necks in the business. they just fit so well, it's unbeliveable

Sorry to disappoint you, Davey, but the Jackson Licensed trems are made by Takeuchi, who also manufacture the Lo-Pro TRS for Ibanez and others (under different names, Jackson calls it the JT-580LP)

The Edge trems, not including the IIs with which I´ve no experience (and don´t really want any), are/ were ALL made by Gotoh, one of the finest hardware makers around. The Original and Lo-Pro Edges are peers of Gotoh, Schaller and Original Floyds, which is better is pure preference.

That said, grab the jackson ;)

oh.. well, i knew some of them were made by the same factory as the jt's .. but i stand corrected =)

but i'd be suprised if gotoh actually makes the 2's. those things are pure crap based on what i saw. if you abuse them too much, they break  seen it happen twice! yeehaw, looks cool though hehe

oh yea, grab the jackson
