Quick question for all you pick up gear heads !

I have never heard of this brand . . . do you know it ?
Some of my UK friends just started using them, and one bloke even took out his Joe Barden units to replace it with these ! :scratchch
And he says these will stay in his guitar !!!

Re: Hello all UK members . . .

The only way to find out for sure is to try some. At the MRSP, it has to be worth a shot.

Obviously, prices where you are may be different. (Import duties, distributor margin, local purchase tax.)

Re: Hello all UK members . . .

They're from the same factory as GFS, I believe.

I know a number of people who have them and all seem very happy with them - worth a go I'd think.

Re: Hello all UK members . . .

Hello! I haven't tried them or heard them yet, but I'll ask around and see if there are any guys in the stores using them.

Re: Hello all UK members . . .

I've heard of them but never used them myself.

When I decided to take the BKP Cold Sweat out of my Charvel I decided getting 1 of these Iron Gear pickups to put in it to sell it with, but I went for a JB instead :)

Re: Hello all UK members . . .

I've seen them on ebay, I just assumed they were cheapo pickups that wouldn't hold a candle to Duncans or Dimarzios. Like Toneriders.

But I've never tried either of those brands - why would I pay £35 for a new Irongear or Tonerider pickup when I can get a used Duncan or DiMarzio for that?

Re: Hello all UK members . . .

i've installed numerous irongears for customers - theyre genuinely great sounding for the money - last one was a "jailhouse rail" - in the neck position of his godin artisan, very warm sounding.
