Hi all:31:

Been lurking here for a while and decided I might as well join:drive:

I recently dropped a TB-4 in the bridge position on my Fender Deluxe Mahogany Special Strat. Never heard a JB in mahogany before, but I like it. Kinda bright like a George Lynch/Dokken tone:bowdown:

I had a question that has been asked on here - sort of - before. I have 2 pickups, both are singles for the bridge spot. One is a JBJr and the other is a Hotrails. I'd like to put one of them into the neck spot.

Wondering which one would be better as far as tone and not interfering with the string (stronger magnetic field).

I had even tossed around putting both in (front and middle). but I like the middle stock one that's in there already. It sounds good with the JB's slug coil in position 2 (S1)

Thanks, Bob

Re: Hello

they're essentially designed the same way, with a ceramic bar magnet on the bottom with the main differences being the wind and screws(jb) and rails(HR), so they both have approximately the same strength magnet field.

that said, i haven't got any experience with those pickups. sorry:dunno:

Thanks,
So the magnetic field question is equal for each:oo:cool3:

Except I thought the JBJr had a ceramic mag. Doesn't matter to me though, as long as it sounds good.

Anything is better than what's in there now. The stock pups are weak and muddy compared to the JB:headbang:
