Help a pickup noob

So I'm about to install my first set of duncans. Right now I have two passive EMG H3 in there. I looked at the wiring diagrams for both the duncans and the emgs and they seem a bit different. The wiring for the pickups looks the same (except that they use different colours) but the wiring between the volume, tone, switch and output jack isnt the same!
I'm kind of confused cos I though the only thing I had to do was remove the wires from the emgs and solder the ones from the duncan in their place. Would this work or should I take out the whole old wiring system and replace it?

Re: Help a pickup noob

You should be able to just wire the Duncans in place of passive EMG's without any problems.

Just remember, to wire a Duncan in standard operation, black is hot, green and bare go to ground, and white and red are soldered together and taped off.
