Help!! Help with pickups!!

I really need help with a neck pickup. Its ohms read 8.9 bridge is 16. They both sound great individually and together but when switching from one to another drop off seems dramatic. I was wondering if I have the magnet polarity wrong ? I changed stock magnets replaced neck with A2 bridge A5 if that help.

do you know what pups they are?

if they sound good together you have the magnet polarity correct

Well they G&B that came out of import PRS. I put what I thought was north crew side. But for some reason it just seem Like the neck disappears when both r on? But when switched to neck only its there. Just maybe bridge just over powering neck

Is the "dramatic" drop off you're referring to in the volume or tone? Do you hear the drop off going from neck to bridge or vice versa?

The neck is bright which is the effect I wanted. The volume drop off is what I notice most. Like if I was playing at bedroom level on bridge and changed to neck I would have to increase the volume a 1/4 turn to get it to same level. Now when playing them together I really cant tell or hear the neck, but it sounds good. The change was made because the neck pickup that was in it was real woofy and airy, not good at all.

Have you tried adjusting the heights of the two pups...raise the neck pup, lower the bridge pup?

The neck's definitely going to want to be a bit higher than the bridge.

Sounds like the neck is low and the bridge is cranked up.

The neck came out Great! The guy I did this for could not believe that a neck pickup could sound that clear and responsive.
