Hails guys... is that RG 470 IBANEZ MADE IN JAPAN A GOOD ONE OR A KOREAN FAKE ONE?
help me... i´ll trade my guitar with teh guy but i´m not sure if that guitar is a good model or a cheap one.

It is my understanding that anything below the 520 series is made in Korea. The 520,570 and above are Japanese made. The 470 is not a bad axe, only thing I would worry about is the trem. If you are a Whammy Warlord, you may look into seeing if the trem can be retrofitted with an Edge or orig Floyd.
But again, it may be ok for you. I prefer the 570 but know bunches that dig the 470. Sounds like cool upgrades on this.. Good luck!

a friend has a 470 RG in a weird purple thing color.. it does say made in japan, but i doubt that.. it says made in japan on the 270 also and that is a **** guitar.

neck is pure wizard II crap though

Im at work so that gave me a firewall. Sorry. If it says made in Japan on the guitar, it probably was. Ive never known them to mis label them. Perhaps the older ones were. I dont care for the Wizard II neck as much as the Wizard, but thats what Im used to..

The Wizard is a tiny bit thinner and wider. LIke 1mm wider.

470s were made in Japan way back when. If it says Japan on the headstock, I'd trust that its Japanese. Aside from the serial #s, it's hard as hell to tell the different models apart anyway, though.

Don't do it! That Lo Trs is as durable as a drumset made of cardboard :smack: . It's made of much softer material, has cheaper parts and plainly sucks! Don't do it for Gotoh tuners and a Duncan bridge pick up, it isn't worth it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the Lo Trs was introduced during the time Ibanez made the 470s in Japan, so it's either a fake or I'm mistaken

Go To Jemsite and see if you can confirm whether the lo trs was avail on Japanese issue..
