Hi All, trying to ID these SD single coils. Black SD covers, and the following underneath. Recently purchased, previous owner unsure of what they are exactly.

White sticker with "97062488" on mid pickup.

Sticker on scratch plate, presumably from the builder with the following:

Neck 642 DC
Middle 626 DC
Bridge 782 DC
F.D. "2000"

Google's not turning up any answers for me.

Thanks.

no, antiquity texas hot. surfers have a grey bottom bobbin.

the neck and bridge... not sure. there is nothing, other than the easily swapped covers, that suggests they are duncans. the bridge pup at 7.8k doesnt fit anything in the duncan line

Yes, hard to tell the true color on my phone. It looked lighter, but on my PC it looks black.

Just an FYI: Those number refer to 6.42k, 6.26k, and 7.82k. And, since a 10% variation isn't unusual, that bridge pup could be anything in the line up that's listed as 7k to 8.6k.

P.S. Not to mention, the quality and calibration of the meter used to take those measurements, and the temp at the time.

Thanks for the responses, it's all starting to make sense now.

The guitar is a 2007 second generation Highway One Strat, from what I have read they came with Fender "Direct Drive" pickups. Perhaps the bridge and neck are from the original set?

None of the pickups look original because they are all "kludged" into the original wiring.

Yeah I've subsequently had a look at the "Direct Drive" pickups online and they appear to have plastic bases and PVC coated wiring, so these are for sure out of something else. I guess I'll have to pull the covers off and see if that yields anything, but it's likely to remain a mystery I guess. They sound solid which is the main thing at the end of the day, I was just curious as to what they are.
