Help ID this SD humbucker

I wasn't sure if he just took stock pickups and painted the baseplates, or had SD do them specifically for him.

As far as I know, SD did them for him. They made runs of black coated baseplates for other manufacturers, as well, but Roman was the only one to try and profit from the mystery around them. To be fair, I don't think it started off that way...I think it was merely an aesthetic decision initially and people noticed they were a little different than everyone else's "Duncans", so he ran with it.

Hi guys new here.
I acquired this puckup out of an old washburn I bought. It came from the neck position and was paired with a trembucker tb11 pickup.
Anyway it ohms out at 7.2K
First I though it to be a jazz model but as I understand they only came with short mounting legs.
Only other pickups im finding with similar ohm readings and braided single conductor wire are the Seth Lover and 59
Can any of you guys help me ID this pickup?
thanks

As always everyone have a point here. So let me make a summary.
1. Pretty old one, 1983 to 1987.
2. An unmolested black back has more value than one with a new backplate. Most of your backplates might not fit, because the spacing needs to be imperial sized with 49.2mm, most asian cheapo parts are 50mm spacing of the poles
3. What ehwuld said or jeremy: nuts or new screws with a bigger diameter and tap - helps to keep the value
4. if my memory serves me right, the black backs were Pearly Gates. Maybe you can loosen the back screws and look for markings on the magnet. Blue for A5 magnet (59N), black for A2 (Pearly Gates).

Yea I like the soldering nuts on the legs idea. Didn't really wanna rake off the duncan base for a cheap base....especially the ones I have have the elcheapo logo stamped in the base.
