Help Identifying a Strat Pickup!

UnWind

Hi guys and gals,

I just picked up this used strat pickup at a local guitar shop. It came in a Duncan Antiquity box but it definitely does not look like any Duncan to me. Haven't had a chance to take a DC reading of it yet either. Just wanted to see if anyone on the forum recognizes this pickup (manufacturer?)

Thanks!

Re: Help Identifying a Strat Pickup!

Welcome to the forum.

The pickup in your photographs looks like it came from the bridge position of a SE Asian-made guitar. I suspect that it is what got replaced by the SD Antiquity pickup.

For ease of reference, whoever performed the modification stored the removed/replaced original pickup in the SD box.

NOTE: The yellowish green pickup cover in your photograph is a genuine SD part.

Re: Help Identifying a Strat Pickup!

Antiquity pickup boxes on Ebay often contain whatever pickup was replaced with the Antiquity. Such as this one.

The sellers usually don't know since they aren't the ones who made the swap or owns the guitar.
