Help identifying old pup. Hotsack?

Hi

I’m a long-time reader of this forum but his is my first post. I’m chasing some info about this old SD pup I acquired on an old scratch plate years ago. I just dug it out of my parts draw and was thinking of using it. From what I can determine I think it’s an early 80s Hotstack? If so, is it a stacked humbucker or more of a hot overwound singe coil? Tonality-wise, would it be more humbucker or P90? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes. Hot Stack. I had one in a guitar back in the 80s.

Thanks fellas. Any comments on characteristics? I’m predominantly a P90 player. Is the Hotstack anything like a P90 or is it more like a humbucker? I remember the Hotrails from back in the day but not these.

It's closer to a P-90 than a conventional humbucker, but doesn't really sound like either. IME they sound like a hotter, fatter, and slightly less bright Strat pickup.

I know Trevor Rabin used one in the 80s in his famous painted Strat.
