Help Identyfing Pickups Please

Hi

As you can tell I'm new here, just bought my first SD Single coil set, being a Lace Sensor fan for years. I Love the Pu's but the seller couldn't tell which model they are, I bought them really cheap, no cardboard insert in the plastic jewel box.

Can you help me to indentify them? Here's what I know:

It's a balanced set, reading 5.86 Ohms for the bridge, 6.26 for the middle, and 9.33 for the neck. Staggered magnets, no bevel. They have black plastic covers and cloth wires (2, white and black). They have small stickers reading just Neck, Middle, Bridge, no model printed or engraved on the PU. I do know they sound great!!

Were you shown any Seymour Duncan boxes or proof of original purchase by the vendor?

Who wired up the selector switch? I see no jumper wire connection between the two "wiper" terminals. (There must be an alternative path - pickups pole to volume pot, volume pot to tones controls pole.)

The covers appear to be genuine SD. I am not convinced by the pickups themselves.

those stickers dont look like anything ive seen from duncan before.

can you unscrew the pups (you can leave them wired) and take a pic of the pups without the covers on? i want to see the wire wrapped around the bobbin.

and fyi those are beveled magnets.

Thanks for your help everyone. I bought these from a local fellow musician, they do sound reaally good, but the jewel plastic box was missing the cardboard info, they were cheap though, around $70 for the set. There is no jumper In the switch cause hisis what they call 50's wiring, SD has a diagram here in this site. There is one for les pauls also. I'll take a pic of the bobbin and upload it. Peace.

that looks to be #42 formvar which is correct type wire for strat pups

or they could be just about anything. really hard to say

Thanks for the info, the bridge is actually 9, I just noticed i mispelled th info in my forst post. So I guess thiese are it, right, at least they are SD's right? Thak you all

Just browsin SD site, coul they be SSL-52 s? They look about the same and the guy who sold them to me actually said something like ss-5,? Anyways, thanks again!

they could be ssl52 in the neck and middle, the bridge model is too hot. they used to make a set called the nashville studio that is similar to the 5/2 set but might have had a hotter bridge pup? kinad doubt it but its possible

Flatwork looks real good... formvar wire, alnico magnets... what's not to like?

The hook up wires seem just a bit clumsy looking compared to SD's razor sharp work (more along the line of Fender pups). The neck and bridge are apparently reversed... hottest pickup goes in the bridge BTW.

They seem to be somebody's best effort at making a set of Antiquities IMHO.

Plus they sound really good and were cheap, so, I'm keeping them :smokin:

The stickers on the bottom of the pickups look like stickers that come on stock fender pickups.

The bevel on the magnet rods looks very Fender. Could be 57/62 or a Custom Shop set.

The unexpectedly high DC resistance reading for the neck pickup would make sense if it were from a Highway 1 model with the weaker A3 rod magnets.
