Help! Is my Pick Up Bad?

Okay. I just bought a Rio Grande BBQ and a Texas for the neck. Texas sounds outstanding. I think something is wrong with the bridge Rio though. Its like...dead. I don't know how else to explain it. I have it hooked up just like the schematic says, and also the same was as my neck pup. Also the same as my old pup that was just in there and worked fine. It just seems to not be outputting anything. Think I got a bad PuP? Or maybe some bad wiring on the PuP? I don't think its the pots, because the guitar was fine today with the old pup in the bridge that I had in it. These are the single conductor versions too btw. So any ideas? Do I just need to take the darn thing back?

There's probably some faulty wiring... or an issue with the pots in either the pup or the guitar

Thanks for the reponses guys. Actually I found out what the problem was. I've really never dealt with double conductor wiring before. All other pups I've messed with have been four conductor. I guess the silver braiding around the pup is a conductor as well, and I needed to make sure that was soldered to the top of my tone pot. Once I did that it was fine. Lol learn something new every day!
