Since the last week i´m realy freaking addicted to ESP/LTD guitars ... though i can´t aford a ESP ... I´m really interested in getting my hands into a LTD ...
There are for models that interest me ...

ESP LTD Deluxe M-1000
ESP LTD Deluxe MH-1000
ESP LTD DV8-R
ESP LTD JH-600

I´m not shure if i want a floyd or not ... but im pretty shure that im biased towards a Neck-Trough construction ... Anyway ... those guitars cost pretty much the same ... And i want quality not a signature "Dave mustaine" in the headstock ... Im just wondering if the price tag is fair enough for the signatures (ltd) ... or is just and inferior quality guitar compared to the M/MH that his a "nice" price tag just becouse of the name ..

Well i apreciate any of your opnions ... have you played then or not ...
Help me pick my new metal axe .... Which one you suggest ? (saddly the m-1000 now have that strange color ... i should have bought one when they were black ...)

Thank You

mmm i would choose one of the deluxe ones, but btw all of that models are made in korea, so, you will have the same quality no matter which one you buy...

this one is a great looking axe, well maybe the binding is just too much for everyone, but if you like that also...

if you want it with floyd rose, i would pick the hanneman axe, that inlays are freaking awesome, and the mh1000 black if you are looking for a hard tail... anyway they are pretty good axes for the price

Re: Help me choose between these metal axes !

i've played all of them except for the Hanneman and all of them are great axes for the money. The deluxe models don't really play or sound different from the regular models but they just look more fancy(total overkill imo). The sig axes are about the same quality as the deluxe models(at leats the higher sig models like the DV-8). It's all a matter of preference when it comes to high level LTDs. But what totally blew me away when i played it, both sound and feelwise is the Mike Amott Ninja

basically it's a classic flying V wrapped into metal looks. Very classy guitar with lots of mojo. I usually don't like 22 frets/set neck/ gibson sclae but this thing rocks hard and fells great. if you can live an all mahogany guitar with the specs stated above you should definitely check it out before you buy one of the others8since you like the DV it should be worth a try.

Re: Help me choose between these metal axes !

The DV8R's quality is actually supposed to be higher than that of most of the other ones, just ftr.

They're all pretty much great so I'd go play them and see which one you like the best.

Re: Help me choose between these metal axes !

If you go floyd rose, you may want to look at LTD sister company Schecter Diamond. Both companies are owned by ESP.

Anyways, look at the Schecter Hellraiser FR.

Well its like ... its realy a matter of opnion ... But the problem is that i live in brazil i the music stores around here arent like Guitar Center with huge walls of quality guitars and mesa boogies every corner :laugh2: :laugh2: !!!

So im going to import it from the USA .... And thus i cant play it before it has arrived ... Blind shopping ...

Re: Help me choose between these metal axes !

ill tell you, those LTD DV-8's are awesome. i was playing my roomate's yesterday, and the neck is a good bit thicker than any of my LTDs, which puts to rest my only complaint about the LTDs that i own (i prefer thicker necks). id love to hear the new mustaine live wires too, but my roomate's has the JB/jazz setup which still sounds great. next time i run into a large quantity of cash i would definately consider one of the silver ones, they look so nice.....

Re: Help me choose between these metal axes !

If you decide to go with a non-trem guitar, check out an Ibanez RG121. I have one in the natural finish and one in the violin finish. Hands down the be best guitars I've played in years. Mahogany body, maple top, five piece neck with bubinga and maple. Rosewood fretboard. Made in Japan and not super expensive.
