help me choose pickups for my new guitar

G'day all!
i'm currently building myself a new guitar.
HSS strat style, swamp ash body, quilted maple top, maple neck and brazilian rosewood fingerboard.
was going for a fixed bridge at first but changed my mind and went for a hipshot contour tremolo instead.

i do have some duncan and dimarzio humbuckers laying around that i think might might work on that guitar.
i have a Pearly gates and a blues saraceno pafrallel axis and a DMZ Breed.
how would these buckers fit that guitar? and what single coils might be a good choice to pair them with?

i aint looking for the classic strat sound nor for over the top full gain stuff.
i want a nice guitar suitable for classic rock and modern blues - sambora meets timmons maybe...

thanks,
Udi.

Re: help me choose pickups for my new guitar

I would start with the BS PA humbucker and pair it with a couple of Seymour Duncan SSL52-1 Five-Two single coils.

If you are going to do a lot of high gain playing under stage lighting, you might want to check out stacked coil, noise-cancelling Stratocaster replacement pickups.
