Dear forum bro's,
I got beautiful 1957 Goldtop VOS for christmas and I am enjoying playing it. It is very different from all my other guitar (big, chunky neck, nice LP punch).
However, I am not happy with the Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups. The have too much brittle high and lack midrange for my taste. Here's a few samples:

I do my best to EQ the tone, but I feel that its just not working out....:banghead:
On the other hand I am happy with my Seth Lovers on the my 335 copy. Just to give you an idea about the tone, here's my demo which I did for the SD Youtube contest:

I am not convinced the Seths would sound the same in the LP, since the natural tone of the 335 is a bit "chimier" than the LP.
So, my doubt now is:
1) Should I get a pair of Seth Lovers (cons: having 2 guitars with the same tone, Seth are not available in aged covers, are they too dark for the LP?)
2) get some Antiquities (pros: have aged covers like the BBs, cons: I've heard they have too much top end like the BBs?)
3) get some Gibson 57's?
4) get something else....(Fralin, Lollar?).
I'd like to stick vintage PAF tones.
Any advise is appreciated, I am really undecided what to do.
thanks
Marin
