Help me decide.

I have a Fender Stratocaster Squire and a Modern Player Telecaster.

I am looking to get a new amp. I found a Fender Ultimate Chorus that is really like brand new. For $250
I also am looking at a brand new Fender Champion 100. For $300

I play lead guitar in my church band and a Country Rock Band on the weekends.

All advice is appreciated.

Where are you located? In my area, those prices are way too high. I would look in the used area. You can get a lot more amp for your dollar. Local pawn shop has a mint Fender Champion 100 for $95.00. They would probably do $75.00 out the door. I picked up a sweet 80's Peavey Audition for $28.00 this past Monday. Depending on where you live, there are deals to be found.

I have the champion 20 and have played the 100W and I like it. The fender amp models and reverb are very good. It takes some getting used to, you'll probably find the voicing with the gain structure you like and have a couple favorite settings in no time.

Both good, but between the two, I'd opt for the Champion 100 new due to prices. It also has more variety of tone IMO. I'm assuming the 100 has at least a 1 yr. Fender warranty; If purchased @ Sweetwater for $350, they provide a 2 yr. free warranty.
