Thanks guys for all the positive comments and helpful suggestions. I was able to contact user kp8 on the tdpri forum who is 100% the buyer of my guitar in 2006. Great guy and completely understanding of the situation! Things are complicated by a few things such as him living out of country right now and the guitar living in storage here in the USA but I am thankful to have found him online and I am confident if he still has the guitar we will be able to work something out down the road. Thanks to everyone here for their helpful suggestions. I'll bump this thread when (I like to be optimistic) I am able to finally get reunited with the guitar!

Ha, I think posting this issue publicly motivated the OP to work on the issue himself and solve it.

See, surfing the web can be cathartic and therapeutic.

He should buy himself a guitar pedal with the reward money.
