Help me ID this old Duncan

JP is spot on...that's an MJ-wound SH-7 "Seymourizer", aka: SH-6n Distortion Neck in today's catalog.

As for year of production, this one falls squarely in the 1983-86 range. Back then, it was sold as a bridge model and it works really well in that regard.

That thing has definitely seen some use! Looks like the screw poles were shortened at some point and solder was added to reinforce the mounting tabs.

It may look rough, but I bet it sounds great!

Some longer pole screws may bring down the treble a bit. I use it in Les Paul as bridge and does a good job.
