Help me identify a Vintage Seymour Duncan Pick up..........

OK. I recently acquired an old Alan Manship Tele . Its about 30-35 yrs old and needed some TLC. I knew it had good bones and wanted to fix her up. You can tell its original owner loved her and sweat a lot when he played. The original bridge Pick up was warped into a smiley face:

The action was high because the warped Pick up was hitting the strings on the High and low "E" strings! It still sounded pretty amazing though . Great sounding Vintage Pick up. I looked under the hood to see what it was. I was hoping it may be an original Fender due to the guitars age and was going to maybe get it worked on by Lindy Fralin. Lo and be hold though, when I got the bridge off it was a Seymour Duncan:

Can anyone tell what kind of bridge Pickup this was? It was cloth wired. Back in the early 80's did Seymour Make this himself? Do you think its worth investing getting it repaired? It does sound pretty amazing. the screws/poles are pretty rusted but its really just the top that needs attention. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

Oh, absolutely.

You've got a mojo-filled p'up coming from a time that either Seymour or Maricela were doing production work themselves, so that's the closest to a Custom Shop p'up you'll ever going to get. I'd send it to repair in less than a NY second!

The white sticker should have an (albeit faded) number, which tells you the model of the pup, and a letter, which is the initial of the winder.

Thanks for the feedback! The Sticker says IR or 1R or LR ? Definitely an R at the end. Does Seymour Duncan offer repair work? Thanks!

That easier then I thought. $75 is more then reasonable .I'm going to remove it now and have it out tomorrow. Thank you Scott! Does Connie Rocha still work there?
