Help me pick the color of my next buy!

EVH USA Wolf

Cant decide on which color. I current ones I can pick from are: Stealth Black or 3 Tone Sunburst. OR I can wait until May/June once the new ivory finish models start to ship

Im in love with the ivory, but Im not sure I can wait until June haha I do like the stealth, but I miss the block inlays on the fretboard. The struggle is real! lol

The more I look at it that Ivory is sick...just all comes together. Can you find a way to wait? In light of all of 2016, March to June isn't THAT long

No its not that long. Maybe ill try to get my local dealer to try and wear down the EVH rep and get them to send an ivory one early, but we'll see

And I change my answer, looking over the black caught my eye first but that ivory is just on point man! I change my poll answer lol

Do you have any other guitars? what colour(s) are they?
The matt black looks cool but I don't think it will age well

One warning about the stealth and all matte black (or any matte color for that matter) guitars is that they will look horrible real fast since the rubbing from your forearm and finger tips around the knobs will make those areas gloss up and it's irreversible. It's not just the oils from your hands which will gloss it up making it look like a greasy mess which and can be cleaned off, it's actually your arm working to buff the matte finish to a gloss like finish, thus why when it gets to that stage it can't be undone.

Unless you're into this type of look (random google search image of a used stealth)...

My process is way to involved to just point and shoot for you brother

If you don't have any flames already, that would be a nice first one.

The Ivory is fantastic with that arched top.

The black one is just gonna get smooth and shiny as you play it more.

I'm stuck between the white one and the flame one.

The zebras look great on the flame. Go with the flame.

Nope, tried a TON of stuff years ago when I had two different matte guitars, one purple and one black and nothing will make it blend back in and be matte again, nothing. Even spoke to painters, a paint rep from a paint company and other car detailers (as I used to do that for a living) and they all said the same thing...refinish. At that point like in that pic you have three options, live with a gross greasy looking guitar, polish it all out to match or refinish it. I chose to polish out the purple one and refinished the black one.

I've got no problem with relic guitars and ones with real wear, but gloss ones. Matte guitars that go glossy just make it look like the owner is one greasy sweaty dude lol. They have a bit of a gross factor more than a cool factor like a beat up old strat has. Makes no damn sense I know, but that's the vibe I get whenever I see a greasy finger and hand print covered matte guitar like the one above, I just want to disinfect it before touching it haha.

Ya....the look of the worn stealth kind of turned me off to it haha I talk to the dealer he said that EVH told them we have to wait till May/June if I want the Ivory. Sooooo, I guess its between it and the sunburst flame top. hmmm

Hmmm blank canvas. Paint the headstock and back of the body black and the top a custom color. Of course that increases the price but it would be cooler than the other options and a one off. I can't help but mess with stuff like that, I've never owned a guitar I didn't mod. Thus why I gave up trying to make other brands of guitars better and just started building guitars lol.

I voted Ivory, because all the old LP customs finished it ivory age to that b*ll achingly beautiful off white/yellow hue
