HELLO GUYS!
i'd like to know from you experts which humb can i buy for my gibson les paul standard to make melodic rock and blues.i mean bon jovi, stevie ray vaughan, bryan adams,or something about little hard rock.many suggested me sh-2 jazz on the neck and jb on bridge.what combinations can you give for my style?i have 2 amp:the twin for clean sounds and jcm800 combo for crunch and distorsion sounds.thank you for helping!!!!!see you! :burnout:

Re: Help Me Please In The Choice...

the Jazz/ JB combo is very popular, and Seymour's favorite hum combo, according to the site

a pair of 59's would also work for you

Re: Help Me Please In The Choice...

I'm not at all a fan of the JB...The 59s or a pair of PGs(Pearly Gates) is very cool....If you need more of say a 59 on steroids in the bridge, you could go with a C5 and a 59n or PGN...

Re: Help Me Please In The Choice...

Try the '59 (or Jazz)/JB combo, it's a damn good start. You can tame down the JB by adjusting the vol/tone pots, to achieve a sweeter tone. Then, if you never use the JB at full capabilities, you'll know that you need something quieter, like '59, or PG set.

Re: Help Me Please In The Choice...

If you like clean sounds I wouldn't go for any hight output humbucker like the JB or the C5. Try better a mached set like the 59.
