Help me to find a sound.

Hey, guys.
I’m looking for a set of pickups which will suits my taste. I like SRV’s tone a lot and play his kind of blues, shuffles and Rock’n’Rolls + Jimi Hendrix’s tone as well as SRV. But with all of that i’m in love with Tom Morello’s tone which he played with his “soul power” Stratocaster on Audioslave records. Ah, his riffs drive me crazy. I understand that all above-listed are different tones but I’m looking for a compromise which could allow me to preform combining those tones.

Can you please suggest some set of your pickups to me to make my wonder sound come true? :help:

Help me to find a sound.

SSL-1 neck and middle with hot rails in bridge (that auto splits and/or can be switched to parallel).

You'll do your Jimi stuff with neck/middle and Morello with bridge. Being able to go parallel gives you a less aggressive bridge option.

EDIT: when I say SSL-1, I mean SSL-2 unless your fretboard radius is 7.25

Maybe anithing else to consider?

Sure, mostly for N and M. Morello use Fat 50s IIRC in that Aerodyne on N and M. Also check Texas Specials, CS69, SD Texas Antiquity Hot.

And all of them will satisfy my requirements?

It's a spectrum. Hopefully many will but I would encourage you to listen to YouTube demos to pick.

Again those were for neck and middle, the hot rails in the bridge is what I think you're quite set on for that Morello tone. IMHO.

Hey, thenk’s a lot you the information, pal😜

Re: Help me to find a sound.

Certainly the Antiquity Texas Hots in the neck and middle. They are out of phase with a Hot Rails, so you will have to switch the hot & ground of the Hot Rails to prevent the out-of-phase thin sound.

So i set Antiquity Texas Hots. It means that I can play hot rails individual and when I want to combine it with middle I shell swich it to ground, right? Only that way it could work out?

Can you please explain to me how to combine them right?
Hot rails in bridge and Antiquity Texes Hot in Middle and Neck.
Hot to use that set properly?

Just flip the black & green wires on the Hot Rails, and you'll be good to go (keep bare going to ground).

Got it.

Well, what about this vintage Hot Stack Plus set? Could it be beter with hot reils or still Antiquity Texas Hot?

Re: Help me to find a sound.

Well, you'd have to reverse the black & green on the bridge pickup in this diagram, but it shows you the wiring of the split with a push/pull.
