Help me with mag charge & degauss.

I know this has been discussed but I can't find and I want to make sure it's correctly done. I need to know exactly how to do it? I already have the round neo mags but i am unsure how to determine which is north and south? I have a C clamp that I can put the neo's on but how do I know which side to put them? How do I know where North, South is?
And lastly, which direction should the Alnico bar be swipped to charge and which to deguass? North up? South up? The north and south thing has got me confused.

The reason I want to know how to do this is because all my mags have been stored touching eachother and I don't trust they are all fully charged. I also have been swapping a4, a5 in my neck slot of my new axe and really want to try a degaussed A5. The A5 is good but a little too strong. Can someone explain this process to me as if I was a dummy? Lol. THANKS

I assume you live in nj?? If so i have a schatten magnet tester. You could use it to check the polarity. Im in north nj. I may be able to help.
