Help Me!!!

I installed a SD livewire metal in my explorer about 3 weeks ago and it quit working yesterday. My dad can't find anything wrong with it, and it's not the cord or anything. He tested all the wires, the output jack , pickup selector, and everything, and the only option we have left it to reinstall it, but I don't think that will do any thing. Any help would be appricated greatly.

Battery dead?
I've not had any problems with my Blackouts thus far so don't know much about this, but have you changed the battery?
Are you removing the cable when not using the guitar?

yeah the batterys are fine. that's the first thing I tried was switching the batterys. my cords are good too. and yes, i unplug the cord when i'm not playing it.
