Help needed: how to connect two lipstick pickups in series with 1 volume and 1 tone?

Ok. So you can use that pot, using lugs 1 & 2, and it will operate as a no-load pot, but it will also operate backwards. Clockwise will be tone-down. You probably don't want that.

Or buy a new pot.
 
Pot replaced. Everything works fine now. This is the very first time that I have a problem with a pot!
