HELP.. no more tap dancing!

I want to have a way to switch effects galore and the four channels of my mesa dual rectifier roadster

the only multi-effects processor on the market with four channel-switching relays is the uber-expensive TC Electronics G system.. I bought the thing and I have to say it's the most unreliable piece of equipment I've ever owned.. I'm also afraid the relays will hurt my mesa's amp-switching network... an isolated ground connection is required for each of the rear panel 1/4" external switching inputs on the mesa but the G-system requires Y-cables (which share a ground) to access the four relays (there are 2 stereo jacks for relays instead of 4 mono jacks, big problem)

multi-effects processors (and all that programming) are taking the joy out of playing and are seriously limiting my creativity.. my next plan is to buy a Line 6 MM4 and DL4, a good wah, and a BBE sonic maximizer and use a Digital Music Corp GCX Audio Switcher and Ground Control unit to do the amp-channel relays and turn effects on off in presets

anybody know of any other units which will control my amp channels and also turn on/off multiple effects loops? it would of course need presents (4 to 8 I'd say) in at least 20 banks (don't suggest the Carl Martin Combinator.. 18 programs is simply not enough)

btw.. what IS a BRADSHAW switching system?.. is it basically the same thing as the GCX and Ground Control unit?

Re: HELP.. no more tap dancing!

What is Bradshaw??
Damn what rock have you being living under??
Try both CAE and Skrydstrup switching stuff....hehe and your post is like reading a religious text;)

Re: HELP.. no more tap dancing!

I don't get the religious text thing???..ha ha.. anyways please explain.. what is a bradshaw switching system?.. was bradshaw some dude who made custom switching systems for artists and the term "bradshaw" was adapted to that style of rigs???... is bradshaw a brand name?.. as you can clearly see I'm lost.. hopefully wikipedia has something on this

Re: HELP.. no more tap dancing!

ok.. now I understand.. apparently Robert Bradshaw is the man.. anyways can anybody suggest any good switching systems which will turn my pedals on/off and also do amp-channel switching?.. it would need to be organized well too (like 4 to 8 presets within a good number of banks.. my band has about 20 songs now so I'd need at least 10 banks)...I figure I could get the GCX and Ground Control from guitar center for around 600 with some haggling but I'd like to know what else is out there.. the TC Electronics G-System is such a great concept yet such a great failure
