edit: ooops... i meant "wiring"

Hi!
I'm thinking of doing this:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/schematics/phase_switch_coil_split_hb.html
on my Squier Esprit which has Duncan-Designed humbuckers... '59-style neck pup with 7.3k dc resistance, and JB-style bridge with 16.6k dc...
From the SD wiring diagram, it seems to me that:
1) I can hook up the red&white wires from both pickups to just 1 push-pull pot for coil-tapping. (one r&w pair to each middle lug)
2) I can also wire the push-pull to have just one common connection to ground.
3) With the bridge pup being 16.6k, I may possibly pull off the coil-tapping with just a 250k push-pull pot (as that's what I have left w/o ordering from overseas) instead of 500k (w/c I'm reserving as the OOP switch), without the tone control suffering too much.
I would appreciate your comments, guys. Many thanks!
