Help the Russian guy!

Hi there.
I bought Ibanez rg 321 in september this year and was not satisfied with the original sound so I decided to change my pickups to:
B --------- SH5
n --------- SH2

I play in a band for about 2 years and we play something like 36 crazyfists+deftones+glassjaw
what do you think is my choice good?

welcome to the forum antoxin!

custom/jazz is a very versatile combo for rock/metal. chunky and clear. in fact, i am using the exact combo in my 80s mij basswood strat and i have no complaints whatsoever. split sound with 2 pickups on is a killer. instead of the sh-5, you should get the tb-5. which is a sh-5 but with trem spacing to cater for the string spread of tremolo equipped guitars.

hope that helps.

Thanx man.
I don't think I'll ever use a guitar with tremolo-I just don't like them...
But anyway it's good to hear that my choice is not bad.

The RG321 is a mahogany bodied hardtail RG. At least the natural finish is mahogany, the blue might be basswood.

But I have a DiMarzio Tone Zone (b)/ Air Norton (n) in mine. Yeah I know, the evil D-word :laugh2:.
