HELP- Trem Use

Hey guys.
Just wanna know how you guys use your Trems. I just scored a Supa-Trem recently and i like it. I just don't really know how to utilise it for what it's worth. All i can find use for it right now is the curved waveform and just a subtle trem to add warmth to cleans. How do you use it effectively esp without a accurate way to set tempo.

Re: HELP- Trem Use

I like to set it up for choppy square waves and add a phaser after it for synthy goodness. I also like to use it similarly to the way you described but with a slightly distorting amp so it goes from clean to a little grit.

Re: HELP- Trem Use

What if the guitar isnt like guitar driven. And i'm following the tempo of the drums. Then i gotta set it to the drums dont i?

Re: HELP- Trem Use

Would it work if i just sorta set it, approximately to the same beat as the drums. Since the rate knob is big and adjustable with my feet.

Re: HELP- Trem Use

I don't use my 65 Deluxe's Tremolo at all... i oddly like the Boss Tremolo pedal a lot... i use that pedal for ON/OFF like sounds.... Kind of like the end of Rush's Subdivisions or the keyboard part to The Who's WGFA... It's cool!!!!

Re: HELP- Trem Use

Set up for a more square wave sound like in U2's song lemon as a pulsating throb and like u r for subtle chords that is my two favourite types of trem sounds (i really need to get my own trem! as the one on dad's AC30 only has 3 speed settings). Also using it with a low mix and really high speeds.
