I've just fitted 2 Pearly Gates pups with nickle covers to my Les-Paul.
Unfortunately I can't try them with an amp till I rehearse with my band and I don't want to bore the rest of the band while I'm tinkering with my pups all night.
I know that its all down to personal taste etc etc and I'm sure that its been asked a million times before but unfortunately I'm in a real rush and haven't got time to search - can someone give me a few basic tips:
1. Good starting point of pup height - both neck and bridge.
2. Good starting point of pole heights - both neck and bridge.
If it makes any difference, I know some people feel the the PG bridge pup can be too bright and this is something that I want to avoid if possible.
Hope you can help!
