Help wiring my Mustang

I picked up a Mustang that needs the wiring finished. I'm opting not to use the slider switches and I'm trying to figure out which wire is which. The neck is a Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Myth pickup and I understand the bridge pickup is an antiquity as well. Bridge pickup has a white and black wire, while the neck has dark blue and yellow. Based on diagrams, it seems black is ground, however the guitar is currently wired with the bridge pickup only and white is to ground.

Any thoughts?

Re: Help wiring my Mustang

Unfortunately there's no standard out there for pickup companies to use certain colors of wire for hot or ground. However, with 2 conductor pickups (as opposed to 2 conductors with a separate ground) one of the wires should also be soldered to the baseplate of the pickup, grounding it. This wire will be your ground and the other will be your hot.

Thanks, I understand there are no standards on wire color, I am asking about this specific SD pickups. Also, this is a Mustang, no baseplates, as they are single coils.

I figured it out, the guitar works.

Re: Help wiring my Mustang

Hi! Anyone who can help me with a wiring diagram for a Fender Mustang Curt Cobain (with the humbucker in the bridge position)? I want it to be like from factory, now it's modded to be a normal three way switch. Appreciate a drawing, please, since I'm no expert. Thanks!
