Re: help wiring problems

Standard PJ wiring

That three conductor Jbass pup is tripping me up, cause I'm not sure how to wire it. The bare would be ground but the red and white I'm not sure about.

Someone else on here can help you, cause I'm not too sure. From what I've seen, the red and bare are both grounding wires, but I'm not sure if that's true.
ok thanks, i will wait some more :)

Re: help wiring problems

The bare wire is most likely a sheilding ground. Connect white to white and red to black per the SD diagram. If the pickup is out of phase reverse them.

Re: help wiring problems

On the bridge position pickup, the three conductors could be either end of a single coil plus a separate screening ground. This would facilitate series/parallel interconnection between the two pickups.

Are the three conductors from the bridge position pickup all within the same outer insulation?

Where is the ground wire from the bridge/tailpiece?
