Help wiring with a Jaguar HH.

I have the Fender Jaguar HH with two fender dragster humbuckers. They aren't wax potted and get microphonic feedback with high gain. I picked up an SH-4 for the bridge and an SH-2n Jazz for the neck. These two have four wires and a ground whereas the Dragsters only have two wires. I have the wiring diagram for the Jaguar HH right from Fender but am still not sure where the other wires go. Anyone have any experience with this set up?

Re: Help wiring with a Jaguar HH.

Depends on what switching options you want. If you just want the standard slider switch on/off options, then put the black wires where the white Fender pickup wires were and solder and tape the red and white wires together leaving them free from other connections, and put the green and bare wires to ground.

Re: Help wiring with a Jaguar HH.

It would be the same switching options as the 62 reissue jag. I'm a little slow haha so the black wires go where the white fender wires went, and the red and white soldered and taped would go where the black fender wire went? Just a little confused.

Oh wait, the black wires from the Dragster was the ground, so i really only have to connect the black SH wires to where the white dragster wires were, ground it with the green and bare wires, and just leave the red and white soldered and unconnected? I think i got it.

Yup, you got it.

And I'm not familiar with the Jaguar's wiring schemes - I saw the 4-mini diagram at Duncan's site, but don't know if that's all they ever did with it.
