Help with a middle pickup for my tele

I'm a bit unenchanted with my A2p strat in the middle position between a Fralin blues special and a JD bridge. I'm looking for a little more guts in positions 2 and 4.

I've thought about a vintage staggered, and even a vintage hot-tempted by a steelpole 43

Any thoughts?

Yes-I do like P-90s, but not for this application...kinda ugly between 2 single coils to boot.

Now a set of P-90s would rock pretty hard.
