Help with Brent Mason (w P-RAIL) Wiring

Hi Guys,

I'm putting together a new Tele and ordered the Brent Mason-type pickguard setup from Sigler with Seymour Duncans - with a twist. I want to put a P-Rail (SHPR-1B) in the bridge with an S1 Triple Shot Mounting ring, and the usual Hot Stack (STK-S2N) Strat pickup in the middle, and SM-1n Mini-Humbucker in the Neck.

Anybody have a wiring diagram that will work with this? The P-Rail in the bridge with the special mounting ring is the sticking point for me. There are a lot of diagrams for the Mason-style wiring but none have a P-Rail in the bridge. Would love it if somebody has a dummy-proof diagram : )

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what Brent Mason wiring is, but as far as the P-Rails go, you simply wire it to the triple-shot, and then you're left with two wires. Hot and ground that you wire as normal.

Re: Help with Brent Mason (w P-RAIL) Wiring

Brent Mason wiring is essentially a standard Tele with a middle Hot Stack wired to an independent volume control.

As Mincer said, take a single P-Rails/Triple Shot diagram, then connect the output of the Triple Shot to where the bridge pickup is connected on the Brent Mason diagram.

I have the same loaded pickguard. Looking forward to your thoughts on it. The bridge pickup is great. Try it out before you change it. Sorry can't help with the p-rails, but you may want to add a treble bleed mod to the vol pot.

Just blew the dust off this project - the wiring from the Triple Shot has 3 wires instead of 2 (black, white, and bare braided). Does the white or black wire go to the Tele's selector switch? I'm assuming the other 2 wires get soldered to ground on a pot?
