HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

I don't know what neck i want to use i am leaning towards the circle ''yes circle'' inlays but i don't mind the shred dots either.

I also don't know what headstock decal i want to use i made one in orange and one in green depending on what colour i stain the body which i also haven't decided on yet.

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

I am almost certain i will have to stain the sides black as the wood has some white marks running though it. They look fine on the surface but on the sides they look a bit like machine marks.

It's a bit of a shame really, any other rob options might be considered and appreciated.

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

mmmmmm colourful rainbow simulation.

Looking at those i don't really want any black i might just have to deal with the white marks.

Ooooh, I like purple...or the last one. Sort of turquoise with some yellow?

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

Are you planning on recessing the control plate and logo to be flush with the rest of the body? I think it would look cool. A 24th fretmarker would also be useful, but not necessary.

As for the finish, a black on black burst would look cool and obscure the machine marks looking things on the side.

But I must say, those body and neck shapes actually look pretty cool, which I rarely say about designs that have come out in the past 20 years. Keep us updated.

Problem is the inlay is green and i only have orange and green to choose on the headstock logo. I guess any colour can work being separated they don't clash as bad.

The last one teal
With them circles

The circles are cool right? I inlayed them with green rubber tubing.

No plans to recess anything on this one it would look good but i can't be bothered at this point.

Black on black? Rob option haha only thing is i really wanted a super happy colourful fruity vibe :18:

Yeah i got the idea for the build from that Ormsby production model.

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

Thanks for all the overwhelming amount of feedback and advice. I should of done a traditional strat or tele I would get a heap of responses and love, boring AF.

Next time I won't bother.

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

To be honest all you asked about was color and inlays.

YJM neck, A4 Full Shred bridge, Badass wraparound, master volume and tone, 3 way switch (neck, neck and bridge split, bridge). That's all I have.

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

Nothing wrong with the circle inlays other than they look a bit unmatched in thickness in the pics.

Green tubing as inlays? Interesting choice. Will it hold up?

As for finish, I like the lime Green color most, followed by the Teal, which looks kind of cool with the Orange headstock inlay.

Body shape is really interesting. Kind of an '80s vibe to it. Looks like the three-way love child between an Ibanez RoadCore, an Ibanez FR series and an Ibanez Talman!

Wasn't entirely sure about the headstock at first, but I kind of dig that the shape mimics the curves of the body

Will be interesting to see where this goes!

Re: HELP with my tele hybrid shred machine.

Thanks.

I need to finish sand them they should match up fine. They will hold up fine i did testing before i applied them here.

Yeah the headstock flows with the body it works on some level it just takes some time to realize.

Omg i just found this. A teal blue was always considered i just never made the logo. Hmmmmmm. Not a bad way to make a custom logo imo i just printed maple veneer on my inkjet printer.
